Poole Town U18’s reward for beating Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the Preliminary Round is a trip to the Avenue to face Dorchester in the First Qualifying Round.
With the Preliminary and First Qualifying rounds drawn at the same time, both Poole and Dorchester knew their potential opponents if they won their ties.
Dorch were first to secure their place, putting 12 past Fareham on Wednesday night. Dolphins didn’t quite match that scoreline, but still ran out comfortable 5-1 winners away at Bemerton Heath.
The fixture has been scheduled for Wednesday 15th September, and will kick off at 7.45pm at the Avenue Stadium.
Matt Stephenson will miss out after being sent-off against Bemerton.
Poole U23’s next fixture is away at Bashley in the Hampshire Combination & Development League West. The Dolphins reserves will visit the New Forest next Wednesday, with kick-off at 7:45pm. The U23s grabbed their first win of the season by dispatching Christchurch 7-1.
The U23’s fixture at home to Ringwood has been postponed due to the FA Youth Cup fixture.
