Poole Town’s FA Cup campaign came to a halt Thursday evening, with the Young Dolphins losing to Gosport Borough 2-0 at Privett Park.
Dolphins had beaten Bemerton Heath Harlequins and Dorchester Town to advance to the Second Qualifying round.
Goals in either half confirmed Gosport’s win, with Poole first-teamer and Youth Coach Tony Lee shown a red card in the first half.
Gosport have invested into their youth system in recent years, creating a “Centre of Ecxellence.”
They now advance to the Third Qualifying round, where they will host Cheltenham Saracens – who beat Yeovil Town 3-1.
